What is Myofascial Cupping?

🔷TR Sports Massage🔷

Tense? Stressed? Injured? Or simply feel tight?

Myofascial Cupping is an amazing technique used by The Treatment Room massage therapists to promote nutrient-rich blood to area of focus, providing an increased circulation to decompressed and stretch muscle tissue.

At our The Treatment Room massage clinics, our sports massage practitioners use plastic cups utilise a suction pump to create a vacuum effect drawing the skin, fascia and muscles into to cup, also known as Myofascial Decompression (MFD).

The myofascial cups are positioned over tight areas of muscle and fascia, and can be used in a variety of different techniques to achieve varying results. Predominantly static, gliding, or compressed movement techniques provide the most benefits.

Beware, cupping can leave suction marks which may take a couple days to fade.

So we would advise against cupping before your bikini modelling shoot.

5 top benefits of myofascial cupping include:

Increased circulation

Increased joint range of motion

Reduced muscle tension

Increase lymphatic drainage (detoxification)

Increase connective tissue mobility
